As the year 2017 comes to a close, I look back at the movies that I have managed to watch since early January until late December. There are some movies that I mainly find inspiring regarding its storytelling and visuals. I do not mind watching them again. I hope some of these films would snatch some Oscars or Golden Globes in 2018.

Nevertheless, there are some movies that I had high hopes that I was disappointed after sitting through the whole films. However, I am not stating that they are bad movies per se.

- Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
- Beauty and the Beast
